We went on family dates to the Arcade and Airborne on our Get Out Passes this month. The kids loved picking out prizes at the arcade with their tickets.
Liam was Star Student of the Week at school.
Tad was excited to have his friend Anders on his rec basketball team. He celebrated his 10th birthday racing go karts at the Hive. We got him a remote control car, Lego sports car, slippers, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the switch.
Alexa made the high school softball team! Everyone we talked to said she needed to play competitive / club softball to even consider trying out, so we didn't think she had a fighting chance. She was beyond excited to make it onto the high school sophomore team. She has practice for 3 hours after school every day and loves it. She is working hard. She catches every other game and is otherwise in the outfield.
Nathan had a field trip at school and he had to take a paper bag lunch instead of his normal lunchbox. He wrote "I love Mom" on one side of the bag and "Nathan" with hearts on the other side so that he knew which lunch was his. Sweet boy.
I've been working with Kellogg's for the past year to launch a new gut health Kashi line that includes probiotic chocolate and probiotic-coated blueberries. It was a fun, challenging project to figure out the supply chain, coating process, and ensure the probiotics stay on the berries and remain potent with at least 1B CFU per serving for the life of the granola. Excited to see it hit shelves!
It has been really warm for March with most days in the high 70's. It feels like summer! My coworker took her boat out on Utah Lake and we hiked to Bridal Veil Falls to cool off. As nice as it feels, it's much too hot too soon and we got hardly any moisture this winter which means it will likely be a hot, dry summer.
Kyle was able to help staff A New Man in Nevada this month. Jason Luna was able to go with him which was neat.
Alexa's friend Claire had her birthday at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake complete with afternoon tea. Alexa and her friend Ella had fun getting ready for the party together.
Tyler got to go to the temple with the Young Men and me and the littles walked around the grounds to look at spring flowers.

Me: Audrey, do you want to go play with Nathan?
Audrey: No, I am too strong for him.
Cleaning blood off my white underwear (thanks, period)
Liam: what’s that?
Me: it’s blood.
Liam: Hmm. I thought it was a fart.
Dad: Hey Tad, your friend Titus is on your baseball team.
Tad: Titus Ford?
Alexa (mouth open in shock): wait you know your friends’ last names?!!
Liam: Can we call Mom before we go to bed?
Dad: No, she’s on a plane right now
Liam: Why don’t you just put it in airplane mode?! Then you could call her.
Tyler: I feel perfect eating Chick-Fil-A.
