Ludlow Reunion - Bear Lake July 2014

Sandra and I were in charge of the Ludlow Reunion and Kathy helped us find a great lodge at Bear Lake.  Adam and Karen, Jonny and Michelle, and Mom and Dad were there from the Sweeny clan.  We ran around with cousins and played at the beach every day.  We had 103 Ludlows there.  Beach time.  Grandpa sliced his hand with an exacto knife right before the reunion, so he had to stay out of the sand and surf. We were also there over the 4th of July, so we got to play with fireworks.  This is the first year we've let Alexa stay up for fireworks.  She hated how loud they were and hid under a blanket on Kyle's lap the whole time. Alexa loved all of the time to play with cousins and it really made me wish that we had some closer to us!  She also loved Diane's watercolor class, Angela's braids, the mini trampoline there, and raspberry milkshakes.

July 2014 - Summer, time with Dad, and Thrive games

The kids love to play in the car and pretend to drive together (no keys allowed!), as well as play soccer.  Tyler is constantly saying "ball" and "kick!"  He happily entertains himself with a ball of any kind for hours. Alexa always wants to go outside after dinner so we can play in the yard. Tyler is starting to talk a lot more recently and is to the point that he will repeat us, which I love! Some of the words he says often are bird, bawk bawk (how he asks for more chicken to eat :), ball, baby, more food or drink please ("mo ink peas"), wake up, bye bye, hi, button, moo, and other things I'm forgetting right now.  One of his favorite games is to have Kyle pretend that he's sleeping so that he can wake him up and be tickled. Kyle gave our backyard a huge makeover in May and June.  He redid all of the sprinkler lines, tampered the lawn so it would lay flat, built a retaining wall across the whole back fence, built cedar compost boxes, a

June 2014 - Father's Day, trampoline park, carnivals, and cousins

Our annual Father's Day tradition of taking a DAD picture of the kids. We went to a trampoline park on a whim after work on a Friday and had ridiculous amounts of fun. During Orem Days, a carnival and parade come through the area so the kids got to go on their first carny rides. Kyle and the kids have been coming to eat lunch with me once a week since I've been there full-time.  Our Chef gives them cookies every time, so they pretty much think it's the happiest place on earth.  And here is a great photo of Tyler devouring a black bean cupcake two-handed compliments of the chef. We also have the chance to usually go up and eat dinner with Granny once a month.  We're loving the warm weather to play at the park and splash pad. Our kids were in heaven to have Michelle and her kids stay with us so they had cousins to run around and play with.  They taught Alexa how to do somersaults and roll down hills, and they had fun at the Thanksgiving Poi
