La felicidad que se encuentra: Kyle, Jenny, Alexa, Tyler, Tad, Liam, Nathan, and Audrey

The kids all met their Lagoon summer reading goals and we had a blast at the park on Labor Day.  Nathan was the winner--he met his 500 page reading goal in ONE WEEK!  Alexa put my glasses in her bag while we rode Cannibal and they were sadly destroyed.  She handled me a pile of glass and broken plastic when we got off the ride.  Alexa has been loving her comp softball team and we love cheering her on.  She had a double rainbow at one of her games a couple of weeks ago. She also broke another bat! Our Primary did a Pinewood Derby race and it was really fun.  Tad and Liam loved building and painting their cars.  Grandpa Swingle was here over Labor Day and he helped them cut out their cars and taught them all about the strategy of a good pinewood derby car.  We celebrated Grandpa Swingle's retirement with a bowling party!  We're excited for official retirement and the fact that they are now moving to Utah!  Other random happenings this mont...

We celebrated the last few days of summer at the City Pool, Splash Summit, and Boondocks.  Audrey was too young to do the go karts but she loved the water boats.   On the drive home from Splash Summit Alexa got to experience her first car accident. Thankfully, everyone was ok but it took the police 30 minutes to get there and our van was in the shop for almost 4 weeks. The kids loved the Wagoneer rental because it had so much room, but we were not huge fans of how much it cost to fill up with gas! We headed back to school in 10th (Alexa), 8th (Tyler), 5th (Tad), 3rd (Liam), 1st (Nathan), and preschool (Audrey).  It's Miss Audrey's first year of preschool and she is beyond excited that she finally gets to go to school like everyone else.  She is really social and didn't look back at all as she walk...
