August - SD Zoo, Legoland, and SeaWorld

We did one last summer hurrah and ran off to California to play. Kyle went a few days early with the kids and I flew out to meet them there. We hit up San Diego Zoo, Legoland, SeaWorld, and the beach. The kids loved the orca, dolphin, and sea lion shows at SeaWorld. They also loved the fact that there were tons of legos to play with while you waited in line for rides at Legoland. Genius. Tyler was scared of the really fast roller coaster at Sea World, but he was super brave and powered through it. San Diego Zoo   Legoland SeaWorld Beach Later in August we went to the Renaissance Festival at Thanksgiving Point. July 2019 - Alexa has glasses!

Writing this post makes me miss summer! I’m writing this in October and we got our first snow this week. It’s so cold!! July was full of ice cream, bike rides, playing in the back yard, blanket forts that turned into all the kids piling in to stay the night in their fort, great hikes, and fun with family.  Liam can officially climb out of his crib and is our first kid to do so.  It's making nap and bedtime extra fun lately.  Alexa joined the ranks and got glasses! She chose blue frames with silver sparkles down the side and she LOVES them. Our optometrist said she only needs them for distances (reading the chalk board at school, etc.) so it’s best not to wear them all the time but she never wants to take them off. She also accompanied me for work on the weekend and got all suited up. She’ll be a great freeze dry expert one day soon.  Marmie was out in Utah for a few weeks and it was absolutely wonderful to have her so close. We loved having...
